Are you the next artist for the Koorie Youth Summit? We are on the lookout for deadly young people from Victoria to create the main artwork for this year’s Summit. The selected artwork will feature as the 2022 Koorie Youth Summit logo and will capture the theme.
The theme for this year’s Summit, ‘For Us, By Us, With Us’ is the understanding and practice of genuine and meaningful youth engagement, connection and youth participation.
Our Executive of deadly young people alongside the KYC team, chose the theme because we recognise that as young people, we need to genuinely be engaged in the decisions that affect us. We want to empower young people to trust the power that resides within all of us as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
We’re inviting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people aged 14-28 years living in Victoria old to submit an artwork. The artwork will be selected by our Executive of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
The selected artist will be paid for their artwork and provided an artist agreement. The artwork will appear on promotional materials for both the Koorie Youth Summit and Koorie Youth Council, (including web, print and media). We may use the artwork in full or a segment of the image when appropriate and it may be used by a third party.
